After meeting me for the first time Doug remembered my name - it made me feel very valued. Because I am a customer service rep, not an executive, we don't cross business paths often, but at each encounter he recalled my name and took a few moments to connect with me. Later while casually meeting weeks later he would recall our previous exchange and ask me how things were.
